The New York City Wine & Food Festival is back and once again benefits the Food Bank! Join us, along with your favorite celebrity chefs, winemakers and culinary personalities from September 29 — October 2. Last year the Festival made it possible for the Food Bank to provide over 3 million meals for hungry New Yorkers. One hundred percent of the net proceeds benefit the Food Bank and our friends at Share Our Strength, making the Festival one of the Food Bank’s largest fundraisers.
This year’s line-up includes Emeril Lagasse, Paula Deen, Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto, Marcus Samuelsson, Guy Fieri and many more! The 2011 New York City Wine & Food Festival is expected to raise more than $1.2 million for hunger relief, but they need 1,200+ volunteers to make the festival a success.
Volunteering with the Festival is a great experience. You might even have the opportunity to taste a dish or two or see some of the world’s top chefs in action! Click here for more information about volunteer roles & the Festival volunteer application.
