Gifts from St. Lucy
The B&H Event Space (420 9th Ave., Manhattan)
3-5pm

I am endlessly entertained by what I see as I travel through life. I love the way we mark our space to claim it and what happens visually as a result. I travel a fair amount; sometimes to interesting places, sometimes not, but always pictures seem to be hovering. My pictures are the result of unexpected intersections. My photography is about observation; color, detail, relationships, and layering. Humor is a major component.

St. Lucy is the patron saint of light and salesmen. Go figure. She is my muse; the one I thank when a visual gift shows up. These gifts are inexplicable, incongruous, ironic visual questions. This is the sport that we play; Lucy and me. She gives, I scratch my head. I am still trying to figure it out, but I am sure having a good time.

I am a visual anthropologist.
