“Hey, I’m Newarkin’ Here!” Walking Tour
World Trade Center PATH Station underneath the PATH sign (Vesey and West Broadway, Manhattan)

Walk. Explore. Play in the snow.

This Sunday, trudge through the pristine white snows of New Jersey. We’ll meet in lower Manhattan, take the PATH out and then walk through Newark, Harrison and the Kearny Marsh. Expect slipping and sliding. Bring extra socks. Prepare to see stuff you’ve never seen before.

The original route was supposed to end in Jersey City but I’m not sure if the bridges will be passable. Instead we’ll be doing a loop that’ll end with a Portuguese dinner in Newark’s Ironbound neighborhood not far from the PATH.

Newark is a 22-minute train ride from WTC. You can board with $1.75 on a pay-per-use (but not unlimited) MetroCard.
