Monday, May 20th: Manhattan Concert Chorale Performs at Carnegie Hall (Get Free Tickets Now)

Conductor Craig Arnold leads the professional Manhattan Concert Chorale and Strings through some hand-picked favorites for this performance at Carnegie Hall. Presented by Manhattan Concert Productions, the program will feature movements from Handel’s baroque masterpiece Dixit Dominus and Vaughan Williams’s triumphant Antiphon from his Five Mystical Songs. The 90-minute concert will also include a performance of Composer in Residence Ola Gjeilo’s Luminous Night of the Soul. Gjeilo will accompany the performers on piano for this piece.

Join thousands of New Yorkers who come together each It’s My Park Day season to volunteer and celebrate their neighborhood parks and public spaces throughout the five boroughs!

It’s My Park Day activities are coordinated by local community groups, City Parks Foundation, and many divisions of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, including Urban Park Rangers, Historic House Trust, and Recreation. Here are a few examples of the many projects that you can join:

Clean up litter in parks, along shorelines, and greenstreets

Rake, mulch, plant bulbs, and care for tree pits

Paint benches, fencing, park houses, and comfort stations throughout playgrounds and parks

Participate in fun, free events for the whole family, including tennis lessons, face painting, historic house tours, nature walks, and more!

Lit Crawl draws hundreds of readers, writers, and revelers to crawl through the East Village and the Lower East Side, listening to writers, playing literary trivia, and celebrating New York’s spirited and diverse literary community.

Lit Crawl NYC celebrates the artistic heritage of the East Village and holds events at local mainstays like the Bowery Poetry Club, Gallery Bar, and KGB. Regular literary participants include the Paris Review, BOMB Magazine, and Granta.
